How much does it cost to educate your children at home? How much do you want to budget? Sure, you can spend the cost of private school tuition per year in homeschooling expenses. But you can just as easily spend very little. An expensive curriculum will not guarantee “success.” In fact, given that some expensive packaged materials were designed to serve the needs of a classroom and not the individual student, you may find the opposite to be true.
On the other hand, some curriculum publishers keep cost in mind and offer quality products at a reasonable price. With online access (something you definitely have!) and access to a good library, you may find you are more than halfway there.
And don’t forget to check the used-curriculum boards. Something that didn’t work for another family may be exactly what you are looking for!
