Seeking a Source

Now that you know what you are looking for, where do you find it? These days there are many retail businesses catering to homeschoolers, including your local Christian bookstore. Here are a few of our favorite online retailers:

Homeschool family suppliers. Many families have gone into ministry providing materials to other homeschoolers. In many cases, they carry only quality materials they themselves have used or reviewed. Some of their catalogs read like how-to manuals on educating at home. When we purchase from these businesses, we make use of their experience and expertise. You receive not only a product — but great service!

Christian publishers. Some of the publishers that in the past only provided materials to private Christian schools are now catering to the homeschool market. Many now carry a complete line of products developed specifically for homeschoolers.

Christian booksellers. Most Christian booksellers carry lines of homeschooling products. Products are often discounted.

Other homeschoolers. Many times we try materials that, although they sounded great when we purchased them, just don’t fit our needs. Where do we go? To the used curriculum boards. You’ll find “gently used” materials that fit your budget!
